STEP ONE

** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on dA for the sake of privacy.

** Make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!


STEP TWO

** Surf this forum ( [link] ) and browse the lists. Here's the important part:

** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

Well to start things off, Happy December everyone. ^^\/ It is that much closer to the beginnings of a brand new year and brand new memories to be shared, while we hold close the memories of a year past. -giggles- Yeah, I can be poetic if I want to XP.

--LIFE--
I am looking forward to celebrating the end and start of a new year at the end of the month. I hope to gather all my friends and party like we've never done before... praying my boyfriend will be able to join us since I know he always seems to dive into a rather nasty sort of depression this time of the year. I have high hopes for myself that I will be able to save him for that, and show him how wonderful this time of year really is when you share it with family and loving friends.

Lucky me has a meeting with a Job Corps rep this week. We shall be going over the application process and possible chance I could be placed within the system. Now for most of those who don't know what the Job Corps is I'll fill you in on a little. Job Corps is funded by the states. It gives young people a chance to have a better future for themselves, like achieving a high school diploma, and taking courses in a career. Room and board is paid for and you receive a weekly living allowance. All in all it sounds rather nice. So I am looking forward to my meeting.

*NEW* I made it into the Job Corps!! I'll be leaving in a couple of months. Sadly I wont know my actual departure date until two weeks before I leave. Lame, but I'm alright with that. But now I do not know if it will mess up Sakura Con plans. Only time will tell now T.T But the place where I will be going looks like Timberlake Job Corps Center in Estacada, OR.

--COSPLAY--
Well, my Aerith pattern is all cut out. Just needs to be stitched together, then all the fine tuning can begin! My poor fingers will hate my by the time I'm finished T.T

The group finally had a meeting. Went over hotel details and group cosplays. And this is what we have, Cardcaptors, Air Gear, and CLAMP. Thank heaven's my cardcaptor cosplay has been done since july. And Air Gear doesn't look all that hard. [I've chosen to cosplay Ringo, but not sure what outfit yet XD] And I have no idea what to do for CLAMP T.T [any ideas are greatly welcomed]

As for what I will be doing myself the list never stops growing and I fear there isn't enough time in the day nor money in my pocket to get them all done. I am at least aiming to have two ANBU black ops cosplays finished before the new year. Shouldn't be all that hard, and making the masks look SUPER easy. One of the out fit and mask is my boyfriends christmas present. And silly me is going to ask the family for the Lavi cosplay and wig that I REALLY would love to own. So my fingers a crossed on that one.

Okay .. so I know I mention about going to Aki-con in November, but that was at a time when I thought I could afford to go... Well ... as of now I can not. I'm pretty much broke, paying off bills sucks. And I have to work as much as I can to have money to finish a few cosplays before Sakura con. At the moment I have two out of the five I plan on wearing... I just hope the list doesn't grow T.T But I am officially planing a trip to Aki-con next year! Woot .... and if the gods will allow it I think I might just go up to Aki-con for one day this year ... don't know which day though. I would love to go up the day Soul Candy is playing. I have been really wanting to see them ... I've heard many wonderful things.

In the ways of cosplays, I have a new addition as on the first of this month. Karin. Its pretty much amazing. It needs a little altering, but other then that if fits like a dream. I am thinking about wearing it to Gasukan this month, then switching into Halloween Town Sora ... But it all depends on when I come back up from Hood River.

--AKI-CON--
So pretty much as of ..... -ponders- Saturday, I will be going to Aki-con in November. And is coming with. It is gonna be her birthday gift. I'm excited .. and it looks like we might even have a place to stay .. I am just hoping that I will be able to get the time off of work for it since I am asking for some days off in October pretty much a week and a half before Aki-Con T.T

--UPDATE--
Squeeee!! I bought pretty much everything needed to make Aerith's Crisis Core dress. All that is lacking is shoes, flower things, and a wig. [And the fact I don't own a sewing machine. Thank god for my best friend]

Also.. Me and found the perfect pattern for our Queens. And of will this probably be my first totally epic cosplay. These wont be ready probably until the night before Sakura Con '10 ... I have a strange feeling... >< Our nameless group is planing on a rather epic Alice in Wonderland cosplay. So look out for a update on those once we have fabric and some time to actually work on them.

I should be getting Karin soonish ... I am just wanting for the person I am getting it from to get back to me with her paypal.

And lastly, I have Lavi's Hammer of Awesome all sketched out and I'm realy to start buying materials once I have the money to do so. This thing is going to be amazing.
